My Health History Journey
I was brought up in England where I had a busy role as a Corporate Executive Assistant for a large newspaper organization. I was young, working in a busy corporate environment and partying hard. Alcohol at the time was my vice and outlet, even though I was super healthy with my food and exercise, this seemed at the time, a weakness for me. Looking back I am definitely not proud of it, but it was just part of my journey and I learnt the hard way, as I wasn’t aware of how it was effecting my health. I then started to reevaluate my life and find my true passions, to be healthy and well and to help other women do the same.
I had quite a few health scares over the years. I had abnormal pre-cancerous cervix cells, which resulted in an operation. Also a traumatic birth with my first darling daughter which led to a post-partum haemorrhage causing later on, central prolapse.
After my second daughter was born, at 7 days old she was rushed back to hospital with meningitis, but thank my lucky stars she survived and is beautiful and healthy today.
A few months after my second daughter was born and getting her back to health, I had another health scare, thyroid cancer, which resulted in the removal of my thyroid. I was very lucky it turned out it wasn’t cancer, but having the operation and continual struggle of balancing my thyroid levels has been hard.
A hysterectomy at the age of 38, due to difficult birth of my first daughter causing prolapse. After the operation I had to be rushed back to hospital with infection, then two weeks after I was discharged I had a massive haemorrrhage, which nearly resulted in me dying and I had to be operated on once more. From all of the trauma of the past events I also got diagnosed with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), this was one of my biggest obstacles that I had to face, but one that slowly overtime I have overcome.
All of this was a HUGE wake up call for me about me and my health and wellness, and now my mission in life is to listen to my body, to treat it with compassion and kindness, feed it with the healthiest and nutritious-dense foods, but also not beat myself up when I want that occasional treat. To exercise and feel good and full of vitality. To appreciate the here and now and be thankful for everything that I do have in life and keep on also striving to reach my goals and be happy.
As a result, all this led to my other mission in life, to help, facilitate and motivate people who want to be healthier, happier and be that person they envision to be!! This is it, this is the time for you now to reach out to me, and I promise you will see transformation. I am not promising you results over night, like these quick fix diets (that by the way, do not work long-term!), I’m not promising you I am going to tell you what to do and then it miraculously happens for you in a week, but I am promising you that if you really want to change, but have got a bit lost on the way, are willing to put in the hard work and commitment, then I can guide you, facilitate and help you be that person you want to be, it will happen!
